Introduction to Quantitative Research Method – Part 2

Research Thesis can be divided into Five Parts

  1. Introduction
  2. Literature Review
  3. Methods
  4. Results
  5. Conclusions / Recommendations

Area of Interest is the Key to select any Topic for Research purpose. By Reviewing Past Literature, you can identify the Gap. And this Gap leads towards Objectives, Goals, and Solutions. Which add-on your contribution.

1. INTRODUCTION

A good Introduction should cover below-mentioned headings in a proper sequence:

  • Background (What is happening)
  • Problem Statement (Gap)
  • Objectives
  • Establish & Justify Arguments
  • Significance
  • Limitations (Constraints)
  • Scope (Boundaries)

2. LITERATURE REVIEW

  • Reviewing Others’ Published Articles
  • Maintaining Theoretical Background related to Particular Factors
  • Findings of Others
  • Analyzing (Criticizing) Others’ Findings to Justify Your Problem Statement

3. METHODS

Research Methods are used to achieve Objectives.

  • Data Collection Methods / Procedures
  • Target Audience
  • Sampling
  • Software
  • Techniques

4. RESULTS

  • Analysis
  • Extracting Data
  • Discussions
  • Own Findings

5. CONCLUSION / RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Sum-up
  • What ought to be?
  • Recommendations or Future Recommendations

HOW TO SEARCH PAST ARTICLES??

Normally, it is somehow difficult to download a free copy of Past Literature from the authentic source. However, here are some links where you can download Past Literature free of cost:

This is advisable to go for Recent Years Research Papers or Articles. Which should be within the Last Five Years. Research Paper is a Brief Version of Research Thesis.

SOURCES OF PROBLEM STATEMENT

There are Two Sources by which you can easily find Problem Statement.

  • Daily Life:
    • This comes by Observation either through Personal Experience or Professional Experience.
  • Past Literature:
    • Highly Recommended for Academic Thesis Research. Review Past Articles / Scholarly Arena.

HOW TO WRITE PROBLEM STATEMENT?

Problem Statement is the Hardest Part of Academic Research. 5Ws should be included for a perfectly organized Problem Statement.

  • WHAT is the Problem? Definition
  • WHEN is this Problem Occurring? Since
  • WHERE is the Problem Occurring? Specifically
  • WHO is Effecting by this Problem? Affected
  • WHY is this Important to Fix this Problem? Justification

APPROPRIATION OF PROBLEM STATEMENT

  • Problem Statement should be Backed by Literature
  • It should be Timely
  • Problem Statement should be Novel (Contribution)
  • It should be Significant (Impact)
  • It should be Specific and Clear
  • This should be Re-searchable

  2. I could not resist commenting. Exceptionally well written! I have been browsing online more than 2 hours
today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet
will be much more useful than ever before. I’ve been surfing on-line more
than three hours these days, but I never discovered any interesting article like yours.
It’s beautiful price sufficient for me. Personally, if
all site owners and bloggers made just right content
material as you probably did, the web will likely be a lot more helpful than ever before.
