Dark Side of Sofia Mirza
She is one of the most controversial figures in the Pakistan showbiz industry. She has been accused of money laundering and kidnapping. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has accused her of being involved in major money laundering, kidnapping for ransom, and other fraudulent activities.
The investigation has already been initiated against her by NAB and FIA (Federal Investigation Agency). Only a few years back, she was also nominated in a fraud and kidnapping case. Later on, she was found guilty in both cases.
However, she has denied all such allegations and claims that all the rumors and hearsay are being propagated by her ex-husband who now resides in Norway. She claims, “This is a conscious attempt by my husband to spread fake news about me so that the settlement of our children and assets can go in his favor.”
She has categorically refuted that she was approached by NAB or any other investigating authority in regards to any investigation. Earlier in 2015, She was arrested at Islamabad’s Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Airport while boarding a flight to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrying $506,800 without the permission of the State Bank of Pakistan.
